I’m a geek. Some still think that this is a pejorative term, however how can it be? Think about it. Geeks are smart, interested, passionate, knowledgable, able. How are those bad things? I don’t think they are. It’s for this reason that I founded GeekZone.

That said, I’m also able to talk plain English. I know what it’s like when someone keeps bombarding you with jargon (I have friends that out geek even me!) so I avoid it as much as possible.

First and foremost, I’m a technologist, scientist, hacker & maker. I feel priviliged to live in this portion of human history, as developments are happening faster than ever. Omni is going to be one to watch!

My other interests are very varied, to say the least.

I play Bagpipes with The Epping Forest Pipe Band and dabble in many other musical instruments, including the Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano and Organ to name a few. Music is very important in my life; Spotify is playing most of the time.

Engineering is also one of my major passions. This extends from solving problems in innovative ways, to fascinating areas such as motoring and aviation. I have driven almost everything from a classic Mini to a double deck London bus, and have flown a few interesting light aircraft too.

I’m very approachable. If you want to contact me, do. Leave a message, and I’ll call you back. Unless you are trying to help me reclaim PPI, sell me double glazing, or ask me if I was recently involved in a road traffic collision. If that’s the case, there’s two words; one rhymes with duck and the other is off.
